Karlínská HolKa: a Czech classic with a modern twist in the heart of Karlín
The HolKy concept in a nutshell
Karlínská HolKa It is part of the Kolektiv restaurant group, which is reflected in the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff. HolKu in Karlín will open in spring 2024. Since then, they have been serving up excellent Czech cuisine that builds on tradition, uses seasonal ingredients and adds a modern twist to the dishes – something you won’t find just anywhere.
Our menu is based on recipes from Dobromila Rettingová’s cookbook, which I inherited from my great-grandfather. We’re proud of every dish we offer, but if I had to recommend just one, it would be our signature black pudding in beer batter.

Who is the HolKa suitable for?
In short, it’s for everyone. It’s ideal for those who love Czech cuisine and are open to its modern, unique variations. It’s perfect for meat lovers – they really know their way around meat here – but that doesn’t mean it’s only „meat-eaters“ who’ll find something to their taste! And what sort of occasion is it best for? As co-owner Michal mentions, practically any time!

There are loads of great places in Karlín, so why go to HolKa? For us, it’s simply its uniqueness. Uniqueness in the atmosphere and décor here, where you can watch your food being prepared thanks to the open kitchen, or enjoy that authentic Karlín vibe in the garden. It’s unique in the food – its flavour, the variety of ingredients combined, and the quality. And last but not least, it’s the uniqueness of the staff here – professional, yet always friendly and in good spirits!
